Adjutant General Visits Rotary

Lt. Gen. Charles Rodriguez, Adjutant General for the State of Texas spoke to members of the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights on Nov. 12th.Ã'  Nearly 24,000 soldiers, airmen and civilians of the Texas Army and Air National Guard, the State Guard and the Adjutant Generals department are under Rodriguez's command.

Texas' Guard forces, for the Governor of Texas, provide defense support to civil authorities like homeland defense, homeland security, disaster relief and rabies eradication.Ã'  Homeland defense, augment combat commands outside the U.S., contribute to the counterdrug program along the border with Mexico and participation in a partnership with the Czech Republic are some of the programs the Guard provides to the President.Ã'
