At the Half Way Point

Happy New Year! After a few weeks off due to the holidays, it is time to start thinking about Rotary again. Tomorrow's program is our Club Assembly for the Mid-Rotary Year, which means I am your speaker.
But do not even think of missing this meeting because I will be reviewing the great things we did as a club so far this year, as well as giving you a preview of things to come in 2011.
Have a fruitful week.

As a club, we can be proud of the projects we have completed, the causes we have supported, and the people we have helped. Even while we were "on break" the last few weeks, a large number of Rotarians were energized by email to give to the Angel Tree Project of the Salvation Army, to ring bells at businesses, and to support our local food care center. It was really impressive to see the outpouring of support from our club and friends.
While I will confess to some feeling of relief that one-half of my presidential year is behind me, I am also excited about some of the things we have in store for the next part of the year. As I said almost six months ago, our objective is to have FUN. That continues to be our plan for 2010. So thank you for all you have done so far this year to make Rotary great!! I look forward to continuing to serve with you in this fresh new year!!Have a fruitful week.
