When life presents challenges, a strong community steps up to help. That’s exactly what the Killeen Heights Rotary Club did when they learned about a local man in need of a wheelchair ramp for his home. With determination, teamwork, and a commitment to service, Rotarians and volunteers came together to construct a much-needed ramp, ensuring safe and accessible entry for this young boy.

The project was sparked by a simple yet powerful call for help. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Killeen Heights Rotary Club swiftly mobilized resources, gathering volunteers and securing materials to make the ramp a reality.

"This is what Rotary is all about—service above self," said Delsina West, Club President. "When we see a need in our community, we come together to make a difference."

The effort was a true community collaboration. Volunteers worked tirelessly, measuring, cutting, and assembling the ramp to meet safety standards and ensure ease of use. Local businesses also stepped in, donating materials and tools, demonstrating the power of teamwork in achieving a common goal.

The wheelchair ramp project stands as a testament to the power of service and the impact of a united community. The Killeen Heights Rotary Club remains dedicated to making a difference, one project at a time—because when we work together, we build more than ramps; we build hope and connection.
