As the year drew to a close, members of the Killeen Heights Rotary Club chose to celebrate 2025 in true Rotary fashion—by serving their community while enjoying time together outdoors. On a bright and beautiful Central Texas day, eight Rotarians and three guests laced up their hiking boots and headed to the scenic Chalk Ridge Falls in Belton for a combined hike and trail cleanup service project.

With the sound of rushing water nearby and sunlight streaming through the trees, the group walked the trails, sharing conversation, laughter, and the spirit of fellowship Rotary is known for. Along the way, they collected six full bags of trash, helping restore the natural beauty of the area so others could enjoy it just as much.

It was the perfect way to end the year—giving back to the community, protecting the environment, and reminding everyone that service, friendship, and making a difference are what Rotary is all about.
