Jean Shine updates members on CASA duties

Newly appointed Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, Jean Shine spoke to members of the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights on January 30th.  Shine and Dianne White Delisi are two of six civilian aides in the state of Texas.  Shine represents Central Texas and serves as the bridge between the civilian communities surrounding Fort Hood and the Army installation.  Delisi, represents the Austin district.

The civilian aides provide representation for the Army thoughout the country, help generate community support for the soldiers and their families and explain Army policies as they impact Texas and the Fort Hood region.

Shine repleaces the late Tommy Joe Mills, who served as a civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army for more than 20 years.  Shine's husband, Bill also served as a civlian aide from 1991 to 2005.
