The Peace Pole, an international symbol of hope and harmony, bears the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in multiple languages. Its installation serves as a visual reminder of the Rotary mission to promote peace and understanding—locally and globally.
In a beautiful collaboration of service and leadership, the benches were designed and built by local Eagle Scouts as part of their final projects, adding not only functionality but also heart and craftsmanship to the space. Their contribution stands as a testament to the values of community, leadership, and the power of youth in action.
New Life Village, affectionately known as "The Village," provides transitional housing and a supportive environment for those rebuilding their lives. The addition of the Peace Pole and benches enhances the healing and restorative atmosphere of this important space.
“This project is a perfect example of Rotary's impact when we work together with other community leaders,” said Dan Ady, Club President of Killeen Heights Rotary. “It represents peace, partnership, and the potential we create when we invest in people.”
