Rotarians Ann Farris and Lisa Griffin received recognition at this year's district conference for their long time service in support of the Object of Rotary.

Ann was the recipient of the District 5870 Ross Baldwin Award for Service Above Self which is presented to a Rotarian who has demonstrated, over time, service to others through mentoring children, adults, or other Rotarians in their community.

Her nomination noted that Ann's life and body of work stands as the greatest example of personal mentorship, quietly demonstrating through action the morale philosophy which holds that we all have the obligation as good citizens to serve the community in which we live.

Lisa was named as a member of the District 5870 Roll of Fame which was established in 1957 to recognize outstanding exemplification of the Spirit of Rotary. The Roll of Fame is the highest award that may be conferred by the District to an individual Rotarian.

Although Lisa has previously served in just about every leadership capacity in our club, she continues to volunteer for further service. Whether the task is putting together a five kilometer race for Polio Plus fundraising, such as "Monster Dash," serving on the registration committee for the District Assembly, or serving on a planning committee for our annual Christmas party, Lisa brings a level of energy and innovation that inspires others to do great things for Rotary.

Congratulations, ladies, for jobs well done!
