This week's speaker is Rotary International Director-elect Andy Smallwood. In keeping with November's theme, Andy will talk to us about our Rotary Foundation.

Andy has held just about every Rotary job there is to hold: District Governor, Training Leader at the International Assembly, delegate to RI's Council on Legislation, Permanent Fund National Advisor, Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator (the job Pat Derr has today), Zone Membership Coordinator, and Chair of the Director Nominating Committee.

Andy will serve as Director for Zones 21 and 27 (the job Mike Pinson held) from July 2012 through June 2014. Killeen Heights is in District 5870 which is in Zone 21b.

Additionally, he has served on the RI Multi-District PETS Steering Committee, the Education & Training Task Force, the Polio Eradication Private Sector Initiative, and as a board member of Lone Star P.E.T.S. and the Rotary Multi-District Training Institute.

He is a Major Donor and a charter member of the Bequest Society.

Andy was born in Pasadena, Texas and is a fifth generation Texan. He graduated from the University of Houston and South Texas College of Law. He is in private practice specializing in corporate, banking, real estate, and international law.

Andy is married to Anita (the best thing that has happened to him) who is an honorary Rotarian. They are raising their "daughters", Kathrynn and Baylee, whose first words (he claims) were "Rotary".
