Becoming a Rotarian and Joining Our Club
An association of over 35,000 autonomous clubs in 220 countries, Rotary International is the world's largest and oldest service organization. Membership is vital to our Club’s operations and community service activities. Our Club aims to ensure our membership represents the community we serve. A primary goal of the club is to continually expand with committed members who have the interest and ability to get involved in service and humanitarian projects. Prospective members must consider the membership expectations of being a Rotarian.
The Membership Pathways
Our club is launching a new membership process in July 2025 that offers two pathways to membership. Formerly, a Club member (sponsor) would invite a prospective candidate to attend one or more club meetings to learn about Rotary. The sponsor would then submit a hard-copy membership application to the Club’s Board of Directors for review and processing.
Our new pathways to membership:
1. An individual interested in membership but doesn't know any Rotarians can submit a membership inquiry via the button at the bottom of each "Membership " page. The Membership Committee will contact the individual to get more information and invite them to a “Discover Rotary” session to learn more about Rotary and our club. If the individual remains interested in joining, the Membership Committee will continue to process the online application and assign a sponsor.
2. If a current Club member wants to invite someone to join our Club, they will submit a membership referral via the “Refer a Member” button at the bottom of each "Membership " page. The Membership committee will coordinate an opportunity for the current member (sponsor) and prospective member to participate in a “Discover Rotary” session and then process the online application.
Regardless of the pathway, after a candidate is reviewed by the Board of Directors and approved by the Club, the sponsor and new member, with the assistance of the Membership Committee, will conduct a New Member Engagement Meeting to chart the new member’s path for the first year of membership.
