4th ID General Guest Speaker

The recent Iraq deployment and the move to Fort Carson
 

MG Jeff Hammond, Commanding General of the 4th Infantry Division was the guest speaker at the May 8 meeting of the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights.

Hammond showed a video highlighting the last 15 months in Iraq entitled "Mission: Soldier Family Team."  Hammond also thanked the club for their tireless commitment and support of the troops tour and their families. 

Ninety-four soldiers were lost and Hammond said "the best thing we can do for those lost is to love more and love a little better."  Fort Hood will have a special memorial service on May 22 for those ninety-four who gave their lives for our country.

July 15th is the date the 4ID will be moving to Fort Carson, Colorado.  Hammond said  the 4ID Museum will transfer with the troops.
