Brigadier General Mark McDonald asks Rotarians to help welcome back troops!
 

Brigadier General Mark McDonald, Deputy Commanding General, III Corps and Fort Hood spoke at the Jan. 9 meeting of the Killeen Heights Rotary Club.  McDonald presented the "Make the Great Place-Greater" campaign for Fort Hood. 

McDonald also told the group "Welcome Home" ceremonies are planned from January to March for the Division Headquarters and the 1st Brigade Combat Team.  Cameron Field will be the location where the ceremonies wil be conducted.  A hospitality tent with couches, food, video games, and plasma screen televisions will provide a "festive" environment for the families as they await their soldiers arrival. 

Volunteers are also being asked to man the famous Victory Corner at the entrance to West Fort Hood as the troops pass by on buses. The 4th ID website will have schedules and arrival times at www.hood.army.mil/4ID/index.html or by phoning the Reception Hotline at 288-5889.
