Military appreciation

The Duke Brigade will soon return to Fort Hood.
On Memorial Day, we remembered the men and women who died during military service to our country. This year that included 27 Soldiers from one of our adopted units; the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
The Duke Brigade will redeploy to Fort Hood in June 2009 after conducting 12 months of combat operations in Afghanistan. As with other Fort Hood units, the Dukes will return on multiple flights spread over several weeks. All welcome home ceremonies for this brigade will be conducted at Cooper Field in front of the 1st Cavalry Division headquarters. Dates and times will be published in the Killeen Daily Herald and on our club Website.
Many of us attended ceremonies commemorating Memorial Day or other welcome home celebrations. We will also soon have the opportunity to demonstrate our appreciation to the Soldiers of our adopted unit. We'd be honored to have you join us.
