Rotary in Action

In fact, the water line from the flood reached to within 3 feet of their roof line. Almost everything in Steve and Mary's home was destroyed or deemed unrecoverable. We are very thankful that Steve and Mary were able to escape without personal injury. However, many valuables and irreplaceable items were lost, which I am sure devastates our friends Steve and Mary. Out of this disaster we witnessed an outpouring of sacrifice and service above self. Rotarians, former Rotarians, and family members showed up at the Hanik's home to help recover, clean, and comfort. The assistance that our members and associates gave to the Haniks is a fantastic testimony for our club. The actions of our members give definition to who we are and what Rotarians aspire to be. Although the folks on the list did not volunteer to receive any credit or special recognition, I believe it is so important that we all know who they are and what they are willing to do out of friendship and sincere commitment to service. The following individuals were at the Haniks' home getting muddy and working to exhaustion in aid of Steve and Mary Hanik:
