Victory Corner

Radio Personality "Big Joe" Lombardi spoke to members of the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights on Friday, April 3, 2009.  In 1991, Lombardi met nearly 134 flights from Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Nearly 26,000  soldiers passed by on their way home to their waiting units and to their loved ones.   

Lombardi broadcast "live" from the former KOOV Radio Station "Roadhog" and named the place at Clark Road and Central Texas Expressway "Victory Corner."  Victory Corner has now been reactivated and Lombardi is once again at the corner as troops from the 4th ID return home.
