Wounded Warriors

Some 50 wounded warriors and their family members from Fort Hood boarded a bus for Fredericksburg Saturday, May 9 for a day-long visit to that central Texas community. Before departing, they were treated to a breakfast delivered by the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights featuring three different style breakfast burritos and various salsas. The Fredericksburg Rotary Club hosted the activities which included lunch and trips to the RockBox Theatre, Nimitz Museum and Wildseed Farm. A box dinner for the trip home was also provided. Wounded warriors from San Antonio's Brook Army Medical Center and the Audie Murphey VA Hospital joined the Fort Hood delegation and also enjoyed the day's events.
