Members of the Killeen Heights Rotary Club recently traded their usual meeting attire for work gloves, safety glasses, and plenty of determination. Partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Rotarians rolled up their sleeves to build 20 beds for children in our community who deserve a safe, comfortable place to sleep.

The day was anything but easy. Volunteers measured lumber, cut boards, drilled holes, sanded rough edges, assembled frames, and stained each finished bed. The work required teamwork, patience, and plenty of muscle—and by the end of the day, there was no shortage of heat, sweat, sawdust, sore muscles, and even a few minor battle wounds.
